UBC has been designing, building and delivering antennas and electronic systems for airborne application since the late 1970s. These applications have spanned the spectrum from 6 GHz to 95 GHz and are a reliable, proven technology. They have many advantages over other systems:
- Lighter weight than any other comparable scanning antenna system
- Faster scan rates than other mechanically scanned systems
- Least expensive of all tracking systems
- More volumetrically efficient than any other scanning antenna system
- Compatible with monopulse, conical scan, lobe switching, or pseudo-random tracking
